School and district policies require homework and outside reading on a regular basis. Each classroom teacher has a Homework Policy for his/her classroom that meets these requirements.
At Perkins all students are expected to read no less than 20 minutes per day in the primary grade, and longer in the upper grades. This daily reading is extremely important. Students are also given homework in other subject areas during the week. Please communicate regularly with your child's teacher to stay informed of homework assignments.
